Born and raised in Utah, I spent over a decade working for the Department of Defense. But after one too many winters, my family and I were ready to trade snow boots for sandy toes. When the chance came to transfer to Patrick Space Force Base, we packed two boxes each, sold everything else, and headed for Florida’s Space Coast.

We’ve called Brevard County home ever since. Whether we’re surfing with the kids, fishing the riverbanks, or exploring the local food scene, we’ve embraced the Space Coast lifestyle—and I never take those moments with my family for granted.
